Creative habit

This picture was taken today during my daily walk. Sometimes I think that I’ve seen already everything so close to my home. Yet nature is changing permanently. Weather is changing day by day. This changes also the atmosphere. On a rainy day the mood is different than on a sunny day. I go out at different times. It’s impossible to create the same picture twice.
It’s possible to see the world with a fresh view every day.

Today I went out with my camera. I wanted to do an exercise that I heard on YouTube. The task was to get to a location. Without further moving one should take 24 pictures. I did this exercise twice at different places that I considered interesting. Despite the trees and buildings, flowers and people walking around, the results were not very exciting. I couldn’t created a series that I liked to publish, nor could I pick one single picture that was outstanding.
I guess the intention of this exercise that I found on YouTube was not to give up too early. Indeed it makes sense to look up and down and sidewards. I slight different frame might be more intensive.
Perhaps I was not at the right places. One can only find out if an exercise is useful when trying it out.
Then it started raining. It got colder. People used their umbrellas. I kept walking around and took pictures here and then. People with umbrellas is a motif that I like. It got even colder. It didn’t stop raining. I returned to my cosy home. My hands were icy already, my trench coat was wet and I was exhausted.
Doing anything is always fulfilling.
I had a cup of tea and couldn’t wait to check my creations………

Every day I go out with my camera and two lenses. I have a topic in mind, a feeling that I want to capture, yet I try to stay open-minded. Almost every day I walk in a different direction. To be in the fresh air is so uplifting. To move betters every mood. I look down, I look up, I walk without a destination. There is so much to discover within walking distance.
This photo walk alone with myself made my day.
